Chandigarh, August 20 – Haryana Cooperation Minister, Dr. Banwari Lal presided over the review meeting of the officers of the Haryana State Cooperative Sugar Mill Federation along with Chaudhry Devi Lal Cooperative Sugar Mill of Gohana through video conferencing. He directed the officers to complete the repair work of the mill for the upcoming season by November 1, 2020, so as to ensure that the mill starts functioning on time and the farmers do not face any problem.
While reviewing the work of the Chaudhry Devi Lal Cooperative Sugar Mill of Gohana through video conferencing, he said that everyone should come up with ways to raise the sugar mills from deficit. Suggesting ways so as to ensure that the mill shall not break down during peak season, he said that the unnecessary expenses should be curtailed and good quality parts should be used in repair work. While giving directions to the officers he said that if any employee or officer is found guilty at work then strict action will be taken against him.
During the video-conferencing, the officers of the Chaudhary Devi Lal Cooperative Sugar Mill, Gohana apprised the Cooperation Minister that the crushing capacity of this mill is 2,500 tonnes of sugarcane per day. Various facilities are being provided by the Mill under the Sugarcane Development Scheme for the benefit of the farmers.
During the meeting, the Minister was apprised that a paperless system has been adopted for issuing slips to farmers and in the coming crushing season, the slips will be sent to the farmers through SMS. This information is also available for farmers on the app developed by the Mill for the benefit of the farmers.
During the video conferencing, the Minister heard suggestions of the farmers from Gohana region and assured them their suggestions will be implemented. Apart from this, he also took suggestions and feedback from officers and employees of Gohana’s Cooperative Sugar Mill.
On this occasion, Additional Chief Secretary of Haryana Cooperative Department Mr. Sanjeev Kaushal, Managing Director of Haryana State Cooperative Sugar Mill Federation, Captain Shakti Singh, Registrar of Cooperative Societies Mr. Maniram Sharma and other senior officers were present.
