As per Chief Minister’s announcement BPL families getting financial assistance

Chandigarh, May 19: Haryana Government led by Chief Minister, Sh. Manohar Lal after coming to power has been continuously taking significant steps for ensuring the welfare of the poor and the needy.

Reiterating this commitment even during this hour of COVID-19 crisis, Sh. Manohar Lal has announced financial assistance to poor families so as to ensure that they do not face any trouble to get their treatment done.

Meanwhile, as per the announcements made by the Chief Minister BPL families of the State are getting financial assistance of Rs 42000.  Besides this, in case any person belonging to BPL family aged between 18 and 50 years of loses his or her life due to COVID-19 between the period starting from March 1, 2021, to May 31, 2021, then an ex gratia relief of Rs. 2 lakh is also given to the bereaved family members.

Sharing more details in this regard, an official spokesperson said that an amount of Rs 1000 per day, per patient or a maximum amount of Rs 7000 is being given by the State Government to the patients admitted in private hospitals and are either on oxygen support beds or ICU beds.

Furthermore, there are some BPL families in the state who have not been covered under the Ayushman Bharat Yojana due to any technical reasons, therefore for such patients, an amount of Rs. 5,000 is being provided by the State Government for seven days in this way financial assistance of Rs. 35,000 is being given. Besides this, an amount of Rs.  7000 per day is being given for other expenses for the State Government. Thereby, in total, an amount of Rs 42000 will be directly transferred into the account of private hospitals.   Similarly, financial assistance of Rs. 5000 per patient is also being provided by the State Government to BPL families living in home isolation.

The spokesman said that as per the directions given by Chief Minister, Deputy Commissioners are closely monitoring the execution of these schemes. He said that to ensure meticulous implementation of these schemes at grassroot levels, the real-time data updation of the patients undergoing treatment in both private and government hospitals has is being done on the Hrheal portal.  A nodal officer has also been appointed in every district for ensuring the smooth conduct of this task.

The said portal is also being linked to Ayushman Bharat Yojana and so far complete data of 500 patients belonging to BPL families have been updated on this portal by the private hospitals informed the spokesman.

Benefits being given under Mukhyamantri Parivar Samridhi Yojana and Pradhan Mantri Jeevan Jyoti Bima Yojana

The spokesperson further informed that the registration of the BPL families or those having a family income of less than Rs 1.80 lakh ages between 18 to 50 years who are being covered under Mukhyamantri Parivar Samridhi Yojana and Pradhan Mantri Jeevan Jyoti Bima Yojana has started on May 15 on the portal.  For all these beneficiaries the insurance premium amount of Rs 330 per person is being paid/reimbursed by the government.

He said that as per the Chief Minister’s announcement, the family of such a person who loses his life due to COVID-19 or any other health issue would get financial relief of Rs 2 lakh. This compensation scheme will be applicable in case if the death has occurred after May 31, 2021. Further, an ex gratia amount of Rs 2 lakh is also being given to the family members of the BPL families in case any person belonging to such families aged between 18 and 50 years of loses his or her life due to COVID-19 between the period starting from March 1, 2021, to May 31, 2021. In this way, as many as 8,86,605 persons aged between 18 and 50 years of 4, 51,073 BPL families will get benefit of these schemes.  The registration for the ‘Mukhyamantri Parivar Samridhi Yojana’ portal at https://cm-psy.haryana.gov.in  has been re-opened from May 15, 2021. Registration can be done online directly by the beneficiary or through a CSC / local operator.  As many as 16799 beneficiaries have registered online on this portal till 3 pm today.

Government’s proactive strategies to tackle COVID-19 Pandemic beings to show positive results

From himself visiting various districts of the state to take stock of the situation with the officials to making early preparation of oxygen supply, ensuring adequate bed availability and efficient working at war footing  day and night efforts are being made by Haryana Chief Minister, Sh. Manohar Lal and they have  finally borne  positive results as after almost 23 days, the State has managed to reduce its daily active cases numbers to less than 10,000. With this the number of patients recovering from COVID-19 has also reached about 15,000 per day.

The spokesperson said that while acting swiftly on the sudden surge in the COVID-19 cases across Haryana, State Government had announced Mahamari Alert/Surkashit Haryana after which there is a continuous decline in the number of daily active cases.

He informed that an arrangement of about 13,949 oxygen beds and 5,350 ventilators / ICUs have been made in various medical colleges, government, and private hospitals in Haryana.

Ensuring timely delivery of oxygen cylinders at the doorsteps of every needy person

A unique initiative has been taken by the Chief Minister to ensure smooth supply and delivery of oxygen cylinders to the needy patients who are undergoing treatment in the home isolation in each district of the State. All such patients are required to register themselves on www.oxygenhry.in portal. This initiative that started on May 9, as many as 374 social service organizations have been registered on this portal to supply oxygen cylinders at the doorsteps of needy patients. A total of 14,678 applications have been received on the portal, out of which oxygen cylinders have been delivered to 8,979 applicants and soon oxygen cylinders will be delivered to 389 applicants at their doorsteps.

Test, Track and Treat strategy to combat virus spread in rural areas

While adopting a Test, Track, Treat strategy to control the virus spread in rural areas, the State Government has launched Haryana Villagers General Health Checkup Scheme (HVGHCS)   to conduct extensive door-to-door COVID-19 screening in villages. Multidisciplinary Teams have been formed for this task. Each team has started conducting door-to-door screening by   visiting 500 households and thereby around 40 lakh rural homes would be covered under this scheme. However, till date these multidisciplinary teams have visited 3011 villages covering 2160522 persons.

Meanwhile, ensuring uninterrupted oxygen supply, adequate arrangement of 5 to 20 d-type oxygen gas cylinders is being made at each community health centre.
