State governments aim to make every city and village free from corona infection by May 31: Chief Minister Chauhan

Bhopal : Thursday, May 20, 2021

Chief Minister Shivraj Singh Chouhan said that Madhya Pradesh is continuously getting success in controlling corona infection. The positivity rate in the state has been reduced to about 7 percent, as well as the number of active cases is also continuously decreasing. Chief Minister Chouhan said that this figure shows only one step in the prevention of corona, it is not an achievement. We still have a long way to go for the creation of a corona-free state, in which there is no scope for carelessness.

Chief Minister Chouhan was addressing the development block and village level Crisis Management Group of Indore division in connection with Covid-19 management through webcasting during his stay in Indore on Thursday. He said that villages, wards, neighbourhoods, and colonies have become corona-free because they followed the corona guidelines regularly. Corona infection should be controlled by creating micro containment zones in places where infection cases are still being found. He directed to work out strategies for the prevention of Covid in Indore, Dhar, and Khargone districts according to local conditions. Chief Minister Chouhan said that by May 31, we have to make every village and city in the state free from corona infection, so that we can move towards normalcy from June 1.

Public support is necessary to break the chain of transition

Chief Minister Chouhan said that this epidemic cannot be fought without the cooperation of the public. Crisis management groups have been formed in every village and development block of the state to provide cooperation. The members of the Crisis Management Group should make the public aware and seek their support in the prevention of corona.

Create Area Specific Strategy

Chief Minister Chouhan said that the minister in charge of the district and the collector should chalk out a area specific strategy to break the transition chain of Corona. In order to identify infected patients in time, more and more testing should be done. He said that mobile testing should also be done as per requirement.

Kill Corona campaign should be run continuously

Chief Minister Chouhan said that timely identification of infected patients is very important to prevent corona. For this, the Kill Corona campaign is being run by the state government. In the campaign, the survey team is going to every village and every house in the city, giving medicine kits to patients infected with cold, cough, and fever. Suspicious patients are also being examined and kept in home isolation after they show signs of corona. Chief Minister Chouhan said that Crisis Management Group in villages and wards should continue this campaign regularly. After one round of the survey is over, start the second round immediately. The public should be made aware through the ‘Prachar Rath’ so that people can get free medical kits by checking the corona in the Covid help center set up in the wards.

Chief Minister Chouhan said that it is the responsibility of the members of the Crisis Management Group not to ignore any case of infection in their area. Also, ensure that patients living in home isolation should not leave their homes. He said that the members of the Crisis Management Group should discuss health conditions on the phone with the patients living in the home isolation on their own, get their health information and get the patients of critical condition admitted to the hospital. Patients with no home isolation facility should be placed in the Covid Care Center. Online Yoga training should also be provided to patients living in home isolation under the yog se Nirog Abhiyan.
