Chandigarh, July 3 – Haryana Home and Health Minister, Anil Vij today visited Ambala Cantonment to take stock of the under construction work of FIFA approved International Football Stadium and during this time he gave strict instructions to the officials on the spot for overcoming the delays and shortcomings in the construction work.
Sh. Anil Vij said that it is a matter of great fortune for Ambala that an international level football stadium and all-weather swimming pool is being built here due to which Ambala and the whole of Haryana will gain popularity.
He also instructed the officials to make a time line regarding the stadium and said that strict action should be taken in case of laxity.
It is worth noting that this stadium has been Anil Vij’s dream project for Ambala Cantonment, for which he has been conducting surprise inspections at regular intervals. Khelo India event is also said to be possible later this year. The swimming and gymnastics competitions of Khelo India games are to be held in this stadium.
