Chandigarh, July 29 – Mediapersons from leading newspapers and electronic media today thanked the Haryana Chief Minister, Sh Manohar Lal for providing the benefit of cashless medical facility on the lines of government employees to the accredited media personnel of the state by the Haryana Government.
The Mediapersons thanked the Chief Minister during ‘Aapka Abhar’ programme at Haryana Civil Secretariat in Chandigarh, during which he was honoured with a shawl and was presented a bouquet.
Additional Principal Secretary to Chief Minister and Director General, Information, Public Relations and Languages Department, Dr. Amit Agrawal and Principal Media Advisor, Sh. Vinod Mehta were also present on the occasion.
Mediapersons welcomed the decision happily and discussed several other issues with the Chief Minister. On this occasion, Dr. Amit Agrawal said that during the review meeting of Ayushman Bharat Bima Yojana, the Chief Minister himself took an initiative and showing generosity announced to provide cashless medical facility on the lines of government employees to the accredited media persons of the state.
Dr Agrawal said that Haryana is far ahead in terms of providing facilities to journalists as compared to other states. He said that other states are even studying the policies of Haryana so as to follow them.
Speaking on the occasion, senior journalists of the state said that just as Haryana is leading in many other fields, in the same way, it has become a leading state in the country in terms of providing facilities to journalists.
