Chandigarh, August 13– In a major drug haul, Haryana’s Special Task Force (STF) have recovered 331 kg 300 gram of ganja being smuggled in a tractor-trolley from Chhattisgarh to Uttar Pradesh in Palwal district. Three persons have been arrested in connection with the case.

Giving this information here today, a Haryana Police spokesperson informed that based on reliable information, STF Rohtak Unit had intercepted a tractor-trolley near Kundli-Ghaziabad-Palwal (KGP) Highway in Palwal district. The search of the vehicle led to the seizure of 62 packets of ganja weighing 331 kg 300 gram.

Three persons were arrested on the charges of possession and transportation of the contraband identified as Shripal, a resident of Esopur Til, Shamli, Uttar Pradesh, Vijay Pal and Pravesh, both hail from Dundu Khera, Shamli, Uttar Pradesh.

Initial investigations revealed that the accused were carrying the contraband to Shamli from Chhattisgarh.

A case under the provisions of NDPS Act has been registered in Palwal and further investigation is in progress.
