Leh, Sep 10: As per the media bulletin released by the Directorate of Health Services UT Ladakh, total 35 persons were tested positive for COVID-19. Out of the total positive reports, CMO Leh received 24 positive reports while CMO Kargil received 11 positive reports.
With the death of one more patient from Covid-19 in Kargil district, the total number of deaths in UT Ladakh has gone up to 36; 13 in Leh and 23 in Kargil district.
The bulletin further details that 35 patients in Leh and 2 patients in Kargil were discharged yesterday after their negative sample reports were received.
With this, the total number of COVID-19 active cases in UT Ladakh has come down to 775; 440 in Leh district and 335 in Kargil district. It further reports that 104 samples were sent to NCDC New Delhi for testing by CMO Leh today, while 32 samples were sent to PGIMER Chandigarh for testing by CMO Kargil today.
The bulletin further details that 196 passengers were screened at Leh Airport today. Similarly, at Upshi check post 143 passengers including drivers and helpers of 131 tankers, trucks and light vehicles were screened. Also 99 passengers including 190 drivers and helpers of 180 tankers, trucks and light vehicles were screened at Khaltsi check post yesterday. Vehicles were also sanitized.
