KARGIL, SEPTEMBER 25, 2021 In compliance to the direction of the Chief Justice of High Court of J&K and Ladakh, a coordination meeting was held at Conference Hall Baroo here on Friday.
The Chief Justice had directed for holding of such meeting in order to ensure coordination among all the stakeholders viz; Judiciary, State, Police, Jail Authorities, prosecution etc involved in justice dispensation.

The meeting was chaired by the Principal District and Sessions Judge Kargil Mohd Rafiq Chak.
Deputy Commissioner and CEO, LAHDC, Kargil Santosh Sukhadeve, SSP Kargil Anayat Ali Chaudhary, Chief Judicial Magistrate (CJM) Kargil Tsewang Phuntsog, Secretary District Legal Services Authority (DLSA) Kargil Moneer Ahmad, SE PWD Kargil Er Ved Prakash, Executive Engineers of R&B-II Kargil and SVD Sankoo, District Social Welfare Officer, APP Kargil, CDPO Kargil, Chairman CWC besides the members JJB Kargil were present during the meeting.
Agenda points taken for discussion and resolution in the meeting included infrastructural issues of Judiciary like status of New Court Complex at Kurbathang and existing court buildings in the district as well as of other allied institutions and status of proposed District Jail in Kargil, problems being faced during investigation and trial in criminal cases, status of Probation Officer, Protections Officer and Service providers, shelter homes, special home etc. under the Probation of Offenders Act, Juvenile Justice Care and Protection of Children Act and Protection of Women from Domestic Violence Act.
The Deputy Commissioner Kargil and the SE PWD assured resolution of local problems regarding infrastructure at the earliest possible.
