Chandigarh September 21: Haryana Co-operation Minister, Dr. Banwari Lal said that the 3 Agriculture related Bills which were passed in Parliament yesterday are totally in the interest of farmers only as these bills will not only rejuvenate the agricultural sector, but will also ensure empowerment of crores of farmers.

He said that with the introduction of these bills, mandi system will continue as before.

Dr. Banwari Lal was addressing the gathering after inaugurating various development works at Bhagwanpur village in district Rewari today.

He said that the present State Government will leave no stone unturned to ensure that farmers’ interests are not affected at any cost. However, the opposition parties are trying to mislead the farmers, but the farmers of the state are well aware and sensible enough to understand the reality and they are not going to get deceived by the Opposition.

The Minister said that farmers need not panic about the three agricultural bills passed by the government as it will neither end the existing market system nor the Minimum Support Price (MSP) will be discontinued. Rather these bills have given an alternative to the farmers, in which they can now sell their crops outside the market.

On this occasion, Dr. Banwari Lal inaugurated an Anganwadi Bhawan, a Scheduled Caste Chaupal, Phirni in village Bhagwanpur and various streets in the village Khatiwas in District Rewari. After this, he also distributed cloth bags to people in this village and called upon them not to use polythene during the ‘Sewa Week’ being celebrated to mark the birthday of Prime Minister, Mr. Narendra Modi at village Khatiwas in district Rewari. He urged the villagers to keep the environment clean and plant more and more trees.
