Advisor to Lt. Governor, K. K. Sharma has sended Mahanavami and Dussehra greetings to the people of Jammu and Kashmir. In a message, the Advisor explained Dussehra as an occasion to mark and celebrate the victory of good over all the bad things. He said the festival signifies that virtue always prevails over the distorted tendencies.
While telling about the importance of Mahanavami, the Advisor said that the occasion marks the culmination of Navratri festivities. The festival is being celebrated throughout the country and people are all happy. People worship Goddess Durga with all their heart. The Advisor prayed that the occasions would bring peace and prosperity in the J&K, besides opening new vistas of thought, expansion of mind and cultivation of a humane temperament and global values in everyone. He also hoped that these festivals would give us strength to fight against the global pandemic of COVID 19 . The Advisor requested the people to follow all the SOPs to prevent COVID 19 while celebrating the festivals.
