CM Dr. Yadav expresses condolences on death of Padma Shri Rai folk dancer Shri Ram Sahay Pandey

Chief Minister Dr. Mohan Yadav expressed grief over the demise of internationally renowned folk dance artist, Padma Shri Ram Sahay Pandey, who was a resident of Sagar district.

Dr. Yadav said that Shri Ram Sahay Pandey embraced the field of art in adverse conditions and achieved numerous accomplishments by going against the current. He made the folk dance of Bundelkhand, the Rai dance, recognized not only in India but also in other countries. In recognition of his contribution, the Government of India honored Shri Pandey with the Padma Shri award.

Dr. Yadav stated that the death of Padma Shri Shri Pandey, the pride of Bundelkhand, who gave global recognition to the Rai folk dance, is an irreplaceable loss for Madhya Pradesh and the world of art. His entire life dedicated to folk art and culture will always inspire us. The Chief Minister, while paying tribute to the late Pandey, prayed to God for the peace of his soul and for giving the bereaved family the strength to bear this sorrow.
