Bharatiya Janata Party’s National Spokesperson R.P. Singh, while addressing a press conference at the party office in Chandigarh today, termed the Central Government’s reduction in GST as a historic and people-friendly decision. He said that under the leadership of Prime Minister Narendra Modi, the government has always prioritized the interests of common citizens, farmers, and the middle class.

R.P. Singh stated that with the reduction in tax on tractors, several agricultural equipment, and goods related to farming, the production costs for farmers will come down. This will directly benefit them financially and reduce the cost of cultivation. He said that this step of the Central Government is a major effort towards increasing farmers’ income.
➖ Relief in household expenses for common people
The BJP spokesperson said that the GST reduction will make daily-use items cheaper. This will provide additional relief in the household expenses of middle-class and poor families. According to him, this decision is a big gift for the common people, bringing more comfort and ease to their daily lives.
➖ Benefit for traders and industrialists
He further added that the reduction in GST rates will also provide relief to small traders and industrialists. This will bring dynamism to the market and strengthen the economy.
➖ Attack on the opposition
R.P. Singh targeted the AAP Government and the Congress, saying that while the Central Government is making historic decisions in the interest of the people, opposition parties are leveling baseless allegations against the Centre to cover up their own failures. He said that people now clearly understand which government is truly working in their interest.

The BJP National Spokesperson said that it is because of the BJP’s policies and commitments that India’s economy is becoming stronger today. He emphasized that every decision of the Modi Government is a step toward turning the dream of a developed India into reality.
