Events Dedicated to the 350th Martyrdom Anniversary of the Ninth Guru

Light & Sound Shows Organised at Sri Anandpur Sahib, Malerkotla and Mansa to Commemorate the 350th Martyrdom Day of Sri Guru Tegh Bahadur Ji
Cabinet Ministers, MLAs and a Large Number of Devotees Participated

Under the leadership of Chief Minister Bhagwant Singh Mann, the Punjab Government is observing with utmost reverence the events dedicated to the 350th martyrdom anniversary of Hind Di Chadar, Sri Guru Tegh Bahadur Ji. As part of these commemorative programmes, Light & Sound shows were organised on Thursday at Sri Anandpur Sahib, Malerkotla and Mansa. These events witnessed the presence of Cabinet Ministers, MLAs, local leaders and a large gathering of devotees.

At Sri Anandpur Sahib, a magnificent Light & Sound Show was held at Charan Ganga Stadium, where Cabinet Minister S. Harjot Singh Bains, along with other dignitaries and a large number of devotees, participated. Speaking on the occasion, S. Bains said that the objective of this historic initiative of the Punjab Government is to acquaint the younger generation with the unparalleled martyrdom, life and teachings of Sri Guru Tegh Bahadur Ji using advanced modern technology.

At the show organised in the local Government College of Malerkotla, a large number of devotees including children, youth and the elderly participated. The presentation, delivered through advanced digital technology, was visually captivating. On this occasion, Health and Family Welfare Minister Dr Balbir Singh; Minister of Revenue, Rehabilitation & Disaster Management, Water Supply & Sanitation, and Housing & Urban Development, Punjab, S. Hardeep Singh Mundian; MLA Malerkotla Dr Jamil Ur Rahman; MLA Amargarh Prof. Jaswant Singh Gajjanmajra and a large number of devotees were present.

In addition, an impressive Light & Sound Show was organised at the multipurpose sports stadium of Nehru Memorial Government College, Mansa, where hundreds of devotees attended. Water Resources Minister Punjab, S. Barinder Kumar Goyal, along with MLA Mansa S. Vijay Singla, MLA Budhlada Principal Budh Ram, MLA Sardulgarh Gurpreet Singh Banawali and local devotees were present on the occasion.

The audience who attended these Light & Sound shows praised the initiative of the Punjab Government. Through modern laser lights and 3D projection, the shows highlighted the entire life journey, philosophy, teachings and the supreme sacrifice made by Sri Guru Tegh Bahadur Ji in defence of religion.
