350th Martyrdom Day Kirtan Samagam organised at Chhauni Buddha Dal

As part of the ongoing commemorative events dedicated to the 350th Shaheedi Divas of Sri Guru Tegh Bahadur Ji, a Gurmat Kirtan Darbar was organized at Chhauni Buddha Dal on Tuesday.

A large number sangat gathered in deep devotion to listen to Gurbani Kirtan and paid solemn homage to the unparalleled martyrdom of Guru Sahib Ji.

During the Kirtan Darbar, eminent Ragi recited Gurbani in traditional Raags and shabads (hymns) of the divine Shabads of Sri Guru Tegh Bahadur Sahib Ji. Panthic spokesperson Bhagwan Singh Johal conducted the stage.

Prominent Raagi Bhai Balwinder Singh Rangila and his Jatha captivated the sangat with soul-touching Kirtan, while Katha Vachak Giani Harjit Singh Harman vividly narrated the supreme martyrdom of Sri Guru Tegh Bahadur Ji, Bhai Sati Das Ji, Bhai Mati Das Ji and Bhai Dayala Ji. Bhai Sahib Sukhdeep Singh, Bhai Sahib Amarjit Singh Taan and Bhai Sahib Jasbir Singh Paonta Sahib Wale also recited Gurbani Kirtan. Students of Baba Sucha Singh Gurmat Sangeet Vidyalaya, Jandiala Guru, under the guidance of Principal Bhai Sukhwant Singh and Bhai Ishwar Singh Ludhiana, rendered the divine Shabads of the Ninth Guru in traditional Raags with string instruments, enriching the spiritual atmosphere.

The Kirtan Darbar witnessed the esteemed presence of Baba Sarabjot Singh Bedi, Sant Kashmir Singh Bhuri Wale, Jathedar Baba Balbir Singh 96 Crori (Head, Nihang Singh Budha Dal, Fifth Takht), Sant Balwinder Langar Wale (Hazur Sahib), Sant Sewa Singh Rampur Kheda Wale, Sant Avtar Singh Sursingh (Dal Panth Baba Bidhi Chand Ji),Rajya Sabha Member Sant Balbir Singh Seechewal, Baba Manmohan Singh Baran Wale, Giani Pratap Singh (Former Head Granthi, Hazur Sahib), Baba Balwinder Singh Tarna Dal Mehta Chowk, Baba Gurdev Singh Shaheedi Bagh, Baba Darshan Singh Tahla Sahib, Baba Joga Singh Tarna Dal Baba Bakala, Baba Jagjit Singh Marhian Wale, Kar Sewa Sarhali Baba Milkha Singh, Bhai Charanjit Singh (7th generation descendant of Bhai Mati Das Ji), Bhai Man Singh Tarna Dal, Bhai Harjit Singh Mehta Chowk, Advocate Karanjit Singh Budha Dal, Bhai Bhupinder Singh Rampur Kheda Wale, Prof. Paramvir Singh (Sikh Encyclopedia), Dr. Amarjit Singh, Simarjit Singh Kang, Padma Shri Jagjit Singh Dardi, Surjit Singh Baru Sahib, Sukhdev Singh Vaid (Udasi Sect), and several other saints and dignitaries of various Sikh sampradayas.

On this sacred occasion, Cabinet Ministers Harpal Singh Cheema, Aman Arora, Harjot Singh Bains, Gurmeet Singh Khudian, Sanjeev Arora, Lal Chand Kataruchak, Laljit Singh Bhullar, Harbhajan Singh ETO, Hardeep Singh Mundian and Barinder Kumar Goyal, Lok Sabha Member Malvinder Singh Kang, Advisor Tourism Deepak Bali, Guru Nanak Dev University Vice Chancellor Prof. Karamjit Singh, Punjabi University Vice Chancellor Dr. Jagdeep Singh, and State General Secretary Baltej Pannu also paid obeisance and participated in the Kirtan Samagam.

The sangat paid heartfelt tribute to the supreme sacrifice of Sri Guru Tegh Bahadur Sahib Ji, whose martyrdom continues to illuminate humanity with the message of freedom, righteousness and compassion.
