Vice President has wished the nation on the eve of Christmas

The Vice President, Shri M. Venkaiah Naidu has wished the nation on the eve of Christmas. Following is the full text of his message in English & Hindi –

“I send my warm greetings and best wishes to all our fellow citizens on the occasion of Christmas.

Christmas is a celebration of the birth of Lord Jesus Christ. The festival reaffirms our faith in the values of compassion and forgiveness taught by Lord Jesus for the enlightenment of humanity.

Christmas is a joyous occasion for family and friends to come together and celebrate the festival in a grand way. But due to the prevailing Covid pandemic this year, we must be content with a modest celebration.

Let us together pray for the health and well being of people of the world. May it bring peace, harmony, health and happiness in our lives.”

“क्रिसमस के शुभ अवसर पर मैं सभी देशवासियों को हार्दिक बधाई और शुभकामनाएं देता हूँ।

क्रिसमस प्रभु ईसा मसीह का जन्मोत्सव है। यह पर्व प्रभु ईसा मसीह द्वारा मानवता के प्रबोधन हेतु सिखाए गए दया और क्षमा के मूल्यों के प्रति हमारी आस्था को दोहराता है।

क्रिसमस एक खुशी का अवसर है जिसमें परिवार के सदस्य और मित्रगण एक साथ मिलकर इस पर्व को धूम-धाम से मनाते हैं। परंतु इस वर्ष व्याप्त कोविड-19 की विश्वव्यापी महामारी के कारण हमें इस पर्व को सादगी से मनाना होगा।

आइए, हम एक साथ मिलकर सम्पूर्ण विश्व के लोगों के अच्छे स्वास्थ्य और खुशहाली के लिए प्रार्थना करें। मैं कामना करता हूँ कि यह त्योहार हमारे जीवन में शांति, समरसता, अच्छा स्वास्थ्य और खुशियाँ लेकर आए।”
