The Government agencies and private Traders have procured 170885 metric tonnes of wheat in Punjab on 28th day of procurement.
Disclosing this here today, an official Spokesperson said that out of the total 170885 procurement from various procurement centres in the State, the Government agencies procured 170849 MT of wheat 36 MT has been procured by the private traders (arhtiyas).
He further said that PUNGRAIN has procured 43136 metric tonnes, MARKFED 43228 metric tonnes and PUNSUP procured 42184 metric tonnes while Punjab State Warehousing Corporation 19490 MT wheat respectively. The Centre government agancy FCI has procured 17352.1 MT wheat. Apart from this Pungrain Procured 5458.5 MT wheat for public distribution in the Punjab.
Progressive procurement by all the procuring agency is 12714232.60 MT.
