Aam Aadmi Party (AAP) chief minister candidate and Member of Parliament Bhagwant Mann today reached the famous Kali Mata Mandir in Patiala to pay his reverence to the Goddess. Bhagwant Mann prayed for the peace and harmony in Punjab. Mann especially reached Kali Mata Mandir after the sacrilege incident of yesterday where a person desecrated idol of Mata Kali and had hurt the religious sentiments of the devotees. The Management Committee of the temple honoured Mann and briefed him on the incident. Mann expressed deep sorrow on sacrilege incident.

Arriving in Patiala on Tuesday, Bhagwant Mann addressed the reporters outside the Kali Mata Mandir and said, “The incident of desecration in the Mata Mandir is very unfortunate. We strongly condemn this and pray to maintain peace, prosperity and communal harmony in Punjab,” he said. Some people try to break the communal harmony of Punjab by using such tricks. He hoped that the people of Punjab would not allow such divisive tactics to succeed.

Bhagwant Mann claimed, “Incidents like sacrilege and bomb blasts are being carried out to create an atmosphere of fear among the people, but this time the people of Punjab will not be intimidated. They will script a new chapter in the history.” According to Mann People will vote for the Aam Aadmi Party to form their government with an absolute majority. “Once AAP government is formed, we will find the masterminds behind these incidents, and punish them so that no one can again commit crimes of sacrilege and bomb blasts.”

Responding to a question, Bhagwant Mann said that Aam Aadmi Party was following the instructions of Election Commission with utmost sincerity. Whenever the Election Commission will call AAP on any matter, party will immediately respond, added Mann.
