Awareness programme under Atmanirbhar Bharat Abhiyan held at Ramban

District Industries Centre, Ramban has spread awareness drive to encourage entrepreneurship in the District as envisaged in Atmanirbhar Bharat Abhiyan. DIC also held an awareness programme at Tethar area of Sub Division Banihal of district Ramban in consonance with COVID-19 protocol.

During the camp, young entrepreneurs were told about the Prime Minister’s Employment Generation programme (PMEGP) and   various industrial schemes being implemented by the department of Industries for the promotion of industry besides generating employment opportunities in the district. General Manager, DIC, Vishwa Jeet told the participants that the government has announced various schemes to provide employment opportunities to unemployed youth, strengthen industries sector besides mitigating the problems being faced by the entrepreneur in various sectors especially  MSME sector due to the COVID-19.

He also said that there is a need for the private sector to be price competitive and focus on quality in production. It will not only cater to domestic needs but also promote export their products, he added. He said these steps will help to achieve the vision of ‘Atmanirbhar Bharat Abhiyan’.
