BJP Bishnah led by party general secretary Baldev Singh Billawaria, Adv. Vibodh Gupta, Ex-MLC, President District Jammu Border Rinku Choudhary and MLA Bishnah Dr. Rajeev Bhagat, and Rakesh Pant, Kissan Morcha President paid tributes to the party ideologue Pandit Deen Dayal Upadhyaya at Bishnah.

Speaking on the occasion, Baldev Singh Billawaria, praised Pandit Deen Dayal Upadhyay as an extraordinary organizer and a moral compass for the party. He recounted the struggles and dedication of the early days of the Bharatiya Jana Sangh, the predecessor of the BJP, and credited Pandit Upadhyay’s relentless efforts and intellectual guidance for shaping the party’s foundation. Billawaria called upon the workers to study and propagate Upadhyay’s ideas, which he said are the bedrock of the BJP’s ideology of cultural nationalism and social harmony. He urged the party workers to embody Upadhyay’s principles of selfless service and moral integrity.

Dr. Rajeev Bhagat spoke at length about Pandit Upadhyaya’s life, his unwavering commitment to nationalism, and his significant contributions to Indian political thought. He emphasized that Pandit Upadhyaya’s philosophy of ‘Integral Humanism’ is not just a political doctrine but a holistic approach to life that seeks to uplift every individual, especially those at the last rung of society, a concept he termed ‘Antyodaya.’

Vibodh Gupta, lauded Pandit Upadhyaya as a visionary who provided an indigenous alternative to the Western ideologies of capitalism and communism. He stressed that Upadhyay’s emphasis on a self-reliant economy (Swadeshi) and a decentralized, village-centric development model remain highly pertinent in today’s context.

Rinku Choudhary spoke about Pandit Upadhyaya’s journey from a humble background to becoming a leading political thinker. He asked everyone to rededicate themselves to the service of the nation and the upliftment of the common man, fulfilling the true essence of ‘Antyodaya’.
