CM Addressed the Public Representatives Associated With Three Tier Panchayats of the State

Chief Minister Shri Shivraj Singh Chouhan has said that Panchayat Raj Institutions have to pay attention to both the duties and rights. Panchayats will be fully utilized for the welfare of the people of the state, to implement development works and construction works in rural areas without any hindrance, to connect the needy with employment-oriented works and recently to prevent the spread of third wave of Covid. Chief Minister Shri Chouhan said that necessary administrative powers are being given to all the three categories of Panchayats. Chief Minister Shri Chouhan was addressing the members and office bearers associated with the Panchayats of the state through video conference today. Administrative committees of three-tier panchayats in all the districts and their heads listened to the address of Chief Minister Shri Chouhan on various platforms of webcast, Facebook Live, YouTube, Twitter and social media. During this, Minister of State for Panchayat and Rural Development Shri Ramkhelawan Patel was also present.
Chief Minister Shri Chouhan said that Panchayats have to play an active role for public welfare. Duties are also associated with rights. Panchayats should create a history of service and dedication through the rights they have received. Make sure that the development works go smoothly at all places. Chief Minister Shri Chouhan said that wherever necessary, the ponds-stepwells should also be renovated. This is a favourable time when such works can be done. Panchayats should also keep an eye on the ration distribution work in rural areas. See works related to housing schemes. Ensure that the beneficiaries of the schemes get the installments on time. Panchayats should present ideals through their actions. Chief Minister Shri Chouhan said that efforts should be made to keep the villages clean and beautiful in the cleanliness mission. Also plant trees and saplings to protect the environment. Chief Minister Shri Chouhan said that everyone should work together to increase energy literacy. Attention should be paid to saving electricity. Cleanliness and Beti Bachao Abhiyan should also be given impetus.
Chief Minister Shri Chouhan called for cooperation in controlling Covid. The target of the test given to the districts for information about the infection will be fulfilled from the village level.
