Amount of ₹600 crore to be transferred in 27,523 cases of Ex-Gratia Assistance Scheme
Amount distribution programme to be held in Umarban, Dhar district

Chief Minister Dr. Mohan Yadav will distribute an amount of ₹600 crore with a single click in 27,523 cases under the Ex-Gratia Assistance of the Sambal Scheme in Umarban, Dhar district on April 30. Labor and Panchayat & Rural Development Minister Mr. Prahlad Singh Patel, local public representatives, and beneficiaries will be present at the programme.
The Chief Minister Jan-Kalyan Sambal Yojana is an extremely important scheme for lakhs of labourers working in the unorganized sector in the state. Under the Ex-Gratia Assistance Scheme, ₹4 lakh is provided in case of accidental death and ₹2 lakh in case of natural death. Similarly, ₹2 lakh is provided for permanent disability and ₹1 lakh for partial permanent disability, and ₹5,000 is provided as funeral assistance.
In the Sambal Scheme, on one hand, women labourers are given ₹16,000 as maternity assistance, and on the other hand, under the College Education Promotion Scheme for the children of laborers, the entire tuition fee for higher education is borne by the state government.
On the initiative of NITI Aayog, gig and platform workers in the state have also been included under the Sambal Scheme, and their registration has been started, and they too are being provided all the benefits under the Sambal Scheme. Sambal beneficiaries also receive a food grain eligibility slip through which they are receiving ration at subsidized rates provided by the central and state governments.
The Sambal Scheme is an extremely important scheme for lakhs of labourers working in the unorganized sector in the state. In this, the laborer receives financial assistance from birth to death. The state government also operates several schemes through the Construction Board for lakhs of construction workers in the state. These include Ex-Gratia Assistance in case of the death of construction workers and assistance in case of permanent and partial disability.
All Sambal beneficiaries have been identified in the eligible category under the Ayushman Bharat Niramayam Scheme, and now they too are receiving free medical treatment up to ₹5 lakh annually.
Since the inception of the scheme, 1 crore 75 lakh (17.5 million) laborers have been registered under the Sambal Scheme; the registration process is ongoing. Under the Sambal Scheme, from the year 2018 till now, more than 6 lakh 81 thousand (681,000) cases have received benefit distribution of more than ₹6,432 crore.
