Chief Minister Shri Chouhan paid floral tributes on the death anniversary of Veer Shri Durgadas Rathore
Chief Minister Shri Shivraj Singh Chouhan paid floral tributes to Rashtraveer, supreme warrior Shri Durgadas Rathore on his death anniversary. Chief Minister Shri Chouhan paid homage to him by garlanding his picture in the auditorium at his residence.
Veer Durgadas Rathore freed his motherland Marwar (Jodhpur) from the domination of invaders and protected Hindu religion. Veer Durgadas brought Marwar prince Ajit Singh from Delhi to Marwar by freeing him from the clutches of Aurangzeb and after struggling for many years, made Ajit Singh the king of Marwar. Veer Durgadas is also called the pearl of Marwar and the deliverer of Marwar. Tales of his valour, devotion to duty and honesty are sung not only in Marwar but all over Rajasthan.
Veer Durgadas Rathore had deep sense of self-respect and patriotism. He rebuilt many temples. Veer Durgadas passed away on November 22, 1718. Chief Minister Shri Chouhan tweeted – “Humble tributes to the pride of Marwar, Veer Shiromani Durgadas Rathore ji on his death anniversary. This country will continue to be inspired by the proud saga of a son who sacrificed everything for the protection of motherland and his devotion to the master.”
