CM Shri Shivraj Singh Chouhan Planted Peepal and Cassia Saplings

Chief Minister Shri Shivraj Singh Chouhan planted Peepal and Cassia saplings in Smart Garden. Dr. Vijay Kumar Shravan, Shri Chandramohan Shravan and Shri Upendra Jha of Late RCS Memorial Health Education and Social Welfare Society were also present on this occasion.

The society is active in the fields of environment, plantation, cleanliness campaign and health awareness. Along with this, under the Eye Disease Camp, Blood Donation Camp and Malnutrition and Hunger Programme, the people of poor settlements are being provided information about prevention of diseases like cancer and malnutrition along with distribution of nutritious diet, food. The society is also supporting many other activities like helping the needy people, programmes like pulse polio campaign and vaccination.

Peepal is a shady tree. It purifies the environment. It has religious and Ayurvedic significance. According to natural science, Peepal tree releases oxygen day and night, which is important for our environment. Peepal tree is also called Akshay tree. This tree is never devoid of leaves. Cassia is also called wild cinnamon in India. The bark and leaves of Cassia Javanica are used in the preparation of Ayurvedic medicines.
