Chandigarh, May 17 – While the state government is on its toes to tackle the second wave of Covid-19 pandemic in Haryana, the people of the state settled in Australia have done a noble act by sending medical equipment to Haryana and NCR.
A community organisation called the Association of Haryanvis in Australia (AHA), which works in Australia, has made a generous donation of 110 oxygen concentrators (OC), 3,000 pulse oximeters and 2,500 thermal scanners for Haryana and NCR under the ‘Operation Sanjeevani’ Campaign.
These medical devices have been sent to India in two phases, of which the first consignment of 10 oxygen concentrators was received by the Vice Chancellor, PGIMS, Rohtak on May 13, 2021 and 1,000 oximeters were delivered to the Haryana Government and GIEO Geeta Sansthan. Similarly, consignments of 100 oxygen concentrators, 2,000 oximeters and 2,500 thermal scanners have been received yesterday.
AHA Trustee, Sh. Ashok Kundu said that the Haryanavis living in various parts of Australia have generously donated for these life saving machines. The organisation aims to raise at least $ 200,000 UAD under the ‘Operation Sanjeevani’ Campaign.
Sh. Seva Singh, who has been an integral part of the AHA in Sydney, informed that medical devices are being sent to various health institutions in Haryana and NCR on a need and urgency basis through government-appointed nodal officers.
