Anmol Gagan’s Resignation is Treachery with Kharar’s Public, A Three-Year Nightmare: Joshi
AAP’s Second Betrayal with Kharar: First Kanwar Sandhu Didn’t Show Up for Four Years, Now Anmol Gagan Resigns After Three Years
Chandigarh, July 19, 2025
Punjab BJP senior leader Vineet Joshi, who has been serving the people of Kharar for the last four years, stated that Anmol Gagan Maan’s resignation as the MLA from Kharar assembly constituency is a betrayal and treachery with the five-year mandate given by the people of Kharar.
Joshi said that before Anmol, the elected MLA Kanwar Sandhu remained absent from the constituency for four years, and now the resignation of the current MLA Anmol within three years clearly shows that the AAP party is repeatedly betraying Kharar by fielding the wrong candidates.
Joshi further said that Anmol Gagan Maan’s tenure of three years and four months for the Kharar assembly constituency was nothing short of a bad dream.
The people of Kharar city, Kurali, New Chandigarh, Nayagaon Municipal Committee, and most villages were deprived of even seeing the face of their MLA, who was also a minister for some time.
On the rare days she did venture out, JCB machines (earthmovers) accompanied her, and people’s shops and homes were demolished.
When the Punjab government tried to illegally and forcibly seize farmers’ land in Jhajjheri, Anmol Gagan Maan was missing.
Similarly, when thousands of homes faced demolition in the Nayagaon Municipality due to the expansion of the Eco-Sensitive Zone from 100 meters to three kilometers, Anmol remained silent initially.
Whether it was power cuts in Kharar, Kurali, Nayagaon during summer days or severe waterlogging during monsoon, whenever trouble befell the people of the Kharar assembly, Anmol Gagan Maan was absent.
Taking a dig, Joshi said, “If you wanted to quit politics, why did you join in the first place?”
Finally, I will say this much: The AAP party has betrayed Kharar for the second consecutive time; now it won’t be betrayed a third time.
