The Bharatiya Janata Party’s Scheduled Caste Morcha led by its President Dharminder Kumar (DDC), celebrated Kargil Vijay Diwas with great enthusiasm and reverence at Dr. B.R. Ambedkar Chowk in Jammu.
The event honored the bravery and sacrifice of the Indian Armed Forces during the 1999 Kargil War.
A large number of BJP leaders, activists, and supporters participated in the program, which began with paying tribute to the martyrs who laid down their lives for the nation.
MLA Ramgarh Dr Devinder Kumar Manyal, MLA Bishnah Dr Rajiv Bhagat and MLA Marh Surinder Bhagat addressed the gathering, highlighting the significance of Kargil Vijay Diwas and the indomitable spirit of the Indian soldiers. They emphasized the importance of remembering the sacrifices made by the soldiers and supporting the families of the martyrs. They also discussed the strategic importance of the Kargil victory and its continued inspiration for the nation.
Dharminder Kumar shared heroic tales of the Kargil War, filling the atmosphere with patriotism as participants chanted slogans in honor of the armed forces.
The program concluded with a pledge to uphold the nation’s values and integrity.
Earlier, MLA Dr Devinder Kumar Manyal, MLA Dr Rajiv Bhagat, MLA Surinder Bhagat, DDC Vidya Motan, DDC Balbir Lal and all attendees paid floral tributes to martyrs of the Kargil War, and also respect to Dr. B.R. Ambedkar, garlanding his statue in a heartfelt tribute to the revered leader and architect of the Indian Constitution.
Prominent among those who were present on occasion included former DC Guldev Bhagat, FC Bhagat, Gulshan Bhagat, Jagdish Bhagat, SK Rana, Hans Raj Loria, RL Kaith, Baldev Chand Sandhu, GR Bhagat, Mohinder Bhagat, Vijay Gill, Seema Devi and Asha Bhagat.
