The Government agencies and private Traders have procured 336394 metric tonnes of wheat in Punjab on 22nd day of procurement.
Disclosing this here today, an official Spokesperson said that out of the total 336394 procurement from various procurement centres in the State, the Government agencies procured 336324 MT of wheat 70 MT has been procured by the private traders (arhtiyas).
He further said that PUNGRAIN has procured 81337 metric tonnes, MARKFED 80910 metric tonnes and PUNSUP procured 78275 metric tonnes while Punjab State Warehousing Corporation 47537 MT wheat respectively. The Centre government agancy FCI has procured 33902 MT wheat. Apart from this Pungrain Procured 14363 MT wheat for public distribution in the Punjab.
Progressive procurement by all the procuring agency is 112,15672 MT.
