Leh, Sep 06: As per the media bulletin released by the Directorate of Health Services UT Ladakh dated 5/09/20, total 61 persons were tested positive for COVID-19. Out of the total positive reports, CMO Leh received 34 positive reports while CMO Kargil received 27 positive reports.
The bulletin further details that 37 patients in Leh and 5 patients in Kargil were discharged yesterday after their negative sample reports were received.
With this, the total number of COVID-19 active cases in UT Ladakh has gone up to 834; 556 in Leh district and 278 in Kargil district. Yesterday, 81 samples were sent to PGIMER Chandigarh for testing by CMO Leh.
The bulletin further details that 252 passengers were screened at Leh Airport yesterday. Similarly, at Upshi check post 111 passengers, drivers, and helpers of 70 tankers, trucks and light vehicles were screened. Also 223 passengers including 134 drivers and helpers of 117 tankers, trucks and light vehicles were screened at Khaltsi check post yesterday. Vehicles were also sanitized.
