Raja Amrinder Singh Govt has failed to deliver justice to the victims of illicit liquor mafia: Kultar Singh
Liquor mafia flourishing under the patronage of ruling government: AAP
Tarn Taran, 19 August 2020
“It is quite shocking that the trade of illicit liquor is still flourishing in Tarn Taran despite of the fact that it has claimed lives of 92 people in the recent past while one more person died after drinking spurious liquor in village Pandori Gola of this district”,
These views were expressed by AAP legislator Kultar Singh Sandhawan who was here to meet the family members of victim Dilbagh Singh. Kultar Singh said that this recent incident has revealed that the roots of liquor mafia are very deep and is flourishing under the political-police patronage. Taking a dig at Raja Amarinder Singh, the AAP MLA said that police is intentionally not taking action against the culprit of these murders and the Chief Minister has failed to keep his statement of registering murder case against the accused. He said that instead of investigating the matter, police is trying to convert the death from spurious liquor into a suicide which will never be tolerated.
Giving an ultimatum to the Amarinder Government, Kultar Singh said that the Raja should renounce his luxurious life style and realize his duty towards the public who are dying due to unbridled trade of illicit liquor under the aegis Congress leaders. He said that AAP would continue its crusade against this unholy nexus and take it to a logical conclusion. He was accompanied by senior AAP leaders Manjinder Singh Lalpura, Jasbir Singh Sur Singh, Gurdev Singh Lakhna, Dr. Kashmir Singh Sohal, Laljit Singh Bhullar, Harjit Singh Sandhu along with party volunteers.
