Atal Ji’s lifelong struggle, vision continue to guide India’s strong and people-oriented governance: Yudhvir Sethi

In celebration of Good Governance Day, commemorating the birth anniversary of former Prime Minister and Bharat Ratna Atal Bihari Vajpayee, a well-attended programme was organized at the Bharatiya Janata Party Office, Kachi Chhawni, in the East Assembly constituency.
The event was held to honour the legacy of Atal Ji and to reaffirm the party’s commitment to the principles of transparency, accountability, and people-centric administration.
Addressing party workers and local residents, BJP J&K UT General Secretary (Organization) Ashok Koul highlighted that Atal Bihari Vajpayee was not only a statesman but also a visionary leader who laid a strong foundation for modern India through inclusive governance and democratic values.
He stated that Good Governance Day is a reminder for public representatives to work with honesty, efficiency, and compassion, ensuring that every citizen benefits from Central Government schemes and development initiatives.
Ashok Koul also highlighted the programmes and policies of the Bharatiya Janata Party, stating that the party remains fully committed to inclusive development, good governance, and public welfare.
He said that under the leadership of the BJP, several people-oriented schemes have been launched to improve the lives of the poor, youth, women, and senior citizens.
Koul emphasized that transparent administration, strong infrastructure, and social justice are the core pillars of BJP’s vision. He added that the party is working with a clear roadmap to ensure economic growth, employment generation, and national security, thereby building a strong and self-reliant India for the future.
MLA Jammu East Yudhvir Sethi, in his address, highlighted the lifelong struggle and remarkable achievements of Bharat Ratna Atal Bihari Vajpayee, stating that Atal Ji rose from humble beginnings to become one of India’s most respected Prime Ministers through dedication, integrity, and unwavering commitment to the nation.
He said that despite facing many political and personal challenges, Atal Ji never compromised on democratic values and national interest. Sethi added that Atal Ji’s leadership brought stability, economic progress, and global respect to India, and his vision continues to guide the country toward strong, transparent, and people-oriented governance.
“Atal Ji’s leadership continues to inspire the present generation,” he said and recalled how Vajpayee’s policies strengthened national unity, promoted economic reforms, and enhanced India’s standing on the global stage.
Sethi further said that the Jammu East Assembly constituency remains committed to following the path shown by Atal Ji by focusing on clean administration, effective service delivery, and welfare of all sections of society.
Several senior party leaders and workers were present during the programme, including Brijeshwar Rana, Chander Mohan Sharma, Ramesh Gupta, Saneet Raina, Ravi Kant, Anil Massom, Rajender Sharma, Ashu Gupta, Parveen Kerni, Adarsh Jathiar, Swati Sharma, Shiv Sharma, Anuradha Sharma, Vijay Gill, and Arun Sethi. They paid rich tributes to the former Prime Minister and expressed their dedication to spreading his ideals among the masses.
The programme concluded with a collective pledge by the participants to uphold the principles of good governance, public service, and national development as envisioned by Atal Bihari Vajpayee.
The gathering reflected a strong sense of unity and purpose, reinforcing the BJP’s resolve to work for a progressive and prosperous Jammu and Kashmir.
