Mini Secretariat to be built in Charkhi Dadri on 23.93 acres of land at a cost of about Rs 72 crore

Chandigarh, July 27– Financial Commissioner and Additional Chief Secretary, Revenue & Disaster Management and Consolidation Department, Sh. Sanjeev Kaushal said that a Mini Secretariat would be built in 23.93 acres of land in Charkhi Dadri district at a cost of Rs 72,07,53,000. He said that the land for this Mini Secretariat has been allotted in Sector-10 of the city and an amount of Rs.49,96,50,000 has been spent for this land.
Sh. Kaushal was presiding over the first meeting of the Building Construction Committee here. The Deputy Commissioners of all the districts of the state attended this meeting through video link. Chief Architect, Sh. BM Sharma and Chief Engineer, Sh. Rajiv Agarwal were also present during the meeting.
The Building Construction Committee also approved 13 different schemes and projects worth more than Rs. 716 lakh in various districts.
In the meeting, it was decided to constitute a committee under the chairmanship of the Special Secretary Revenue, which would give its recommendations regarding the covered area norms for the construction of residential buildings for the officers and employees of the Revenue Department.
Sh. Kaushal directed the Deputy Commissioners to send the proposals for the maintenance of new buildings and offices being constructed in their respective districts to this committee so that this committee can send its recommendations regarding the design of new buildings etc.
He said that the Deputy Commissioners should also keep in mind that the toilets and pantry in the new buildings being constructed should be state-of-the-art and should also be convenient for all the people. Apart from this, the new buildings being constructed should also have video conferencing rooms because now the trend of video conferencing has increased during COVID-19 pandemic. He said that the video conferencing rooms should be equipped with state-of-the-art facilities.
In the meeting, the Deputy Commissioner, Rewari apprised Sh. Kaushal that there was a shortage of space in the Mini Secretariat premises of Rewari and hence there was a need for its expansion, in response to which Sh. Kaushal instructed the Chief Architect to visit Rewari and identify place there and submit his report regarding the project to them.
Apart from this, he directed the officers that the time period of all the projects and schemes should be fixed and efforts should be made to complete them within the stipulated time period. This saves cost and time. During the meeting, he also approved 13 different schemes and projects.
