COVID-19 vaccination for people above 60 years, above 45 years with comorbidity begins in Kargil
KARGIL MARCH 01, 2021: COVID-19 vaccination for people above 60 years and those above 45 years with comorbidity began in Kargil district today.
In this connection, during the first vaccination session held at District Hospital Kargil (DHK), 50 such beneficiaries including 44 senior citizens above 60 years of age and 6 persons above 45 years with co-morbidities were given the COVID-19 vaccine jabs.
Prominent among the senior citizens who received the COVID-19 shots included retired Range Officer Forests Haji Ghulam Haider Silmoo, Haji Ghulam Nabi Var, Haji Ghulam Rasool Chanchik and Haji Nissar Ali Rwati Chanchik.
Meanwhile, as per the details made available by the District Immunization Officer (DIO), Kargil Dr Muhammad Abbass, 56 Health Care Workers in the district were given the 2nd dose of COVID-19 vaccine at Primary Health Center (PHC), Panikhar while 10 Health Care Workers were inoculated 1st dose of the vaccine at District Hospital, Kargil.
