DC B’pora reviews progress of construction of Flood Spill Channel

The Deputy Commissioner (DC) Bandipora, Dr Owais Ahmad on Friday chaired a meeting to review the status of construction of Flood Spill Channel at Naidkhai.

The meeting discussed threadbare the bottlenecks that hinder the progress of work including the land acquisition issues.
Dr Owais also interacted with the land owners whose land has been acquired for the construction of flood spill channel in Naidkhai area.
After assurances from the district administration, Land holders agreed to co-operate with administration and get compensation as per PNC.
The DC directed the officers to expedite the process of official paper work so that work can be started again and the project can be completed well in time.
He also directed to remove all the bottlenecks that hinder the progress of work and directed for redressal of all other grievances of the people.
The meeting was attended by Assistant Commissioner Revenue Parvaiz Rahim, Collector Land Acquisition PHR and I&FC Srinagar, Executive Engineer I&FC Tehsildar Hajin, land owners and other senior officers of the district.
