Chandigarh, 4 December 2025
Haryana’s Energy, Transport and Labour Minister Sh. Anil Vij today reacted to various political developments and strongly criticized Congress and other opposition parties on multiple issues. Referring to Congress leader Renuka Chowdhury bringing a dog to Parliament and her reaction regarding the privilege motion, Vij targeted the entire Congress party, saying sarcastically that “Renuka Chowdhury barking while leaving clearly shows that this has now become the official language of Congress. She is a spokesperson of the party; perhaps that is why she brought the dog — so the country can see who speaks from behind Congress.”
While responding to media persons questions today, Sh. Vij cited Atal Bihari Vajpayee’s example, criticizing Congress’s comparison. He said Vajpayee once arrived on a bullock cart to protest rising fuel prices. Taking a jibe at Congress, he asked, “What are you protesting against? Why is your dog upset? Do you not feed him? Has he come to protest?”
Reply to Rahul Gandhi on caste census
Responding to Rahul Gandhi’s allegation that the Modi government lacks a concrete plan for the caste census, Sh. Vij said that “Rahul Gandhi will need a hundred more births to understand Narendra Modi. Modi does everything with complete planning and strategy.”
Vij’s reaction on ‘Beti Bachao Beti Padhao’ and Haryana University controversy
Replying strongly to the questions raised by Haryana Congress MP Deepender Singh Hooda regarding the incident at Chaudhary Ranbir Singh University, Sh. Vij said that “If a wrong incident occurs at one place, it does not mean the entire scheme is wrong. Where there is Ram, there is also Ravan. The ‘Beti Bachao Beti Padhao’ scheme has led to a clear improvement in the girl child birth ratio in Haryana. This scheme will continue despite opposition from Congress leaders.”
Russian President’s visit to India — Leaders of both countries will discuss several important plans- Vij
About the Russian President’s visit to India, Sh. Vij said that “Atithi Devo Bhava — we warmly welcome him. Leaders of both countries will discuss several important plans and areas of cooperation.”
Comment on Mamata Banerjee’s allegations regarding SIR — baseless and misleading propaganda- Vij
Reacting to West Bengal Chief Minister Mamata Banerjee’s claims of suicides due to fear of SIR, Sh.Vij said that her statements are baseless and misleading propaganda. He said that “Mamata Banerjee is spreading such lies to hide her own weaknesses. The Constitution clearly states that only residents of India have the right to vote. If someone is deceased or no longer resides in the country, what is the objection to removing their name, he questioned?”
