Financial assistance of Rs.276.74 Lakh provided to 370 Scheduled Caste Beneficiaries by June in FY 2025-26

Haryana Social Justice, Empowerment ,SCs and BCs Welfare and Antyodaya(SEWA) Minister, Sh. Krishan Kumar Bedi, said that the Haryana Scheduled Castes Finance and Development Corporation has provided financial assistance of Rs. 276.74 lakh to 370 Scheduled Caste beneficiaries under various schemes by the end of June in the financial year 2025–26. This amount includes a subsidy of Rs. 28.11 lakh.

Sh. Bedi said that the Corporation offers loans under different categories to help people from the Scheduled Castes start their own businesses or self-employment ventures. These categories include agriculture and allied sectors, industry, trade and business, and self-employment. Financial assistance is also being provided under schemes supported by the National Scheduled Castes Finance and Development Corporation.

Sharing further details he said that under the agriculture and allied sectors, loans worth Rs.135.72 lakh have been provided to 167 beneficiaries for activities like dairy farming, sheep rearing, and pig rearing. This includes Rs.126.49 lakh as bank loans and Rs.9.23 lakh as subsidies.

Similarly, in the industrial sector, 13 beneficiaries have received Rs.6.40 lakh in bank loans and Rs.1.20 lakh as subsidies. In the trade and business category, Rs.131.12 lakh was provided to 185 beneficiaries. Of this, Rs.100.83 lakh was disbursed as bank loans, Rs.17.18 lakh as subsidies, and Rs.13.11 lakh as margin money.

In the Commercial and self-employment sector, Rs.3.50 lakh was provided to five beneficiaries out of which, Rs. 2.65 lakh was released as bank loans, Rs.50,000 as subsidies, and Rs.35,000 as margin money.
