“MANN-Made Disaster: ₹12,000 Crore Vanished — Who’s Hiding the Truth?”
“AAP Punjab Government holding PhD in Lies, Fails Punjab in Its Darkest Hour:– Sarin”
Chandigarh, September 20, 2025
On one side, the Punjab is facing a tragedy that nature began, but government negligence turned it into a catastrophe, and on the other side, instead of giving much-needed relief, especially the financial relief, the Aam Aadmi Party Government in Punjab is misleading the people on the issue of the 12000 crore Disaster Relief Fund already in the accounts of the Punjab Government, said Anil Sarin State General Secretary Bharatiya Janata Party Punjab.
“Roz nit nave jhooth…this government has truly earned a PhD in Lies. “Even when hard facts are placed before them, they brazenly deny the truth and keep deceiving Punjab,” quiped Sarin
Citing the CAG reports tabled in the Punjab Vidhan Sabha by AAP Government Sarin added that it itself exposes the AAP Government’s lies. As per the CAG report, the SDRF Funds for the financial year 2020–21 start at ₹6,999.48 crore and close at ₹7,334 crore. Then, for the next financial year 2021–22, the opening balance is ₹7,334 crore and the closing balance is ₹8,194.80 crore. For the financial year 2022–23, the opening balance is ₹8,194.80 crore, and the closing balance is ₹9,041.74 crore. The CAG report for the financial year 2023–24 is yet to be tabled.
Now it’s clear from the CAG report tabled by Bhagwant Mann govt that till 31.03.2023 it is ₹9,041.74 crore; after that, they have received funds in 2023–24 and 2024–25, which makes the total amount of ₹12,000 crore.
His own Cabinet colleagues Barinder Goyal and Hardeep Mundian admit that they have 12000 crore and even the State Chief Secretary, in the presence of CM, mentioned the amount as an entry in the state financial record.
“With ₹1,600 crore immediate relief announced by PM Modi, the ₹13,600 crore is already in the state disaster fund, yet Bhagwant Mann says there is no money.
“This is not just financial mismanagement—it is willful neglect and deception,” concluded Anil Sarin. “The Bhagwant–Kejriwal government must be held fully accountable for this MANN-made disaster and the disappearance of ₹12,000 crore meant for the people of Punjab.”
