JAMMU, OCTOBER 19
The Jammu and Kashmir Government has removed about 6,33,239 JK residents, left in other parts of the country due to COVID lockdown, via Lakhanpur through special trains and buses till now following all necessary guidelines and Standard Operating Procedures. As per the informataion the Jammu and Kashmir administration has received 155 special trains at Jammu and Udhampur railway stations from different states and UTs, so far, with about 1,40,292 passengers while about 4,92,947 persons from other states and UTs including 937 from abroad have been shifted by the government through Lakhanpur till date.
According to the information about 8395 stranded passengers have arrived through Lakhanpur from October 17 to October 18 mornings while 134 trains have reached Jammu with a total of 124,596 passengers belonging to different districts so far while 15,696 passengers have arrived Udhampur in 21 special trains.
