Chandigarh, March 21– Haryana Deputy Chief Minister, Sh. Dushyant Chautala has informed that the condition of being a resident of minimum 5 years in Haryana has been imposed only under the ‘Employment of Local Candidates Act, 2020’ for the purpose of providing employment to the youth of the State and grant of employment generation subsidy for industrial units of Haryana.
The Deputy Chief Minister said this in response to a question raised by a member of the House during the budget session of the Haryana Vidhan Sabha here today.
Sh. Dushyant Chautala informed the Haryana Government (Ref. no. 62/03/2021-6GS1 dated March 19, 2022) has clarified that the condition of 15 years of residence in Haryana is for the purpose of admission, scholarship, unemployment allowance and socio-economic norms. He further said that the condition of being a resident of the state for a minimum of 5 years would be applicable under the Employment and Entrepreneurship Policy, 2020 or other specific industrial policies.
The Deputy Chief Minister clarified that the condition of the said period of 5 years was implemented under the ‘Employment of Local Candidates Act, 2020’ only after talking to the industrial associations. He added that relaxation have been given in the case of posts that require a special skill set in companies like IT etc.
