Haryana Education Minister visits Khelo India Youth Games to encourage the players

Chandigarh, June 7 :– On the fifth day of Khelo India Youth Games-2021 being held in Panchkula, Haryana today, Haryana had to be content with silver medal in an exciting Kabaddi match.

        Haryana Education Minister, Sh. Kanwar Pal had come to encourage the players in the stadium packed with spectators.

Huge enthusiasm among the audience with the songs Jai Jawan Jai Kisan and Nach Baliye

        Haryana and Himachal Pradesh tied with 34-34 points in two intervals of 20 minutes each of the game. As per the rules, 5 raids each were given to both the teams. In this also Haryana won the gold medal by securing 5 points and Himachal Pradesh got six points.

        The Education Minister, who was in the audience for about an hour, later while interacting with the mediapersons said that keeping in view the presence of the audience and the performance of the players, it can be said that Kabaddi is a popular sport in the country. The way the match went, no one could predict which team would win.
