Haryana’s MSME department will help in promoting the toy industries of the state: Dushyant Chautala
Chandigarh, March 2: Haryana Deputy Chief Mnister, Dushyant Chautala said that Haryana’s Micro, Small & Medium Enterprises (MSME) department will help in promoting the toy industries of the state, whereby the artisans of the state will get an opportunity to showcase their skills, while their financial status will also improve.
Dushyant Chautala, who also holds the portfolio of the Industries and Commerce Department, said this at the concluding day of India’s first ‘Toy Fair-2021’. He said that with the help of the MSME Department every small toy-maker and artisan living across the state will be benefited. He said that till now toy industries in Bahadurgarh, Sonipat and Manesar which mainly manufacture toys from wood, clay, leather, stuffed, cloth etc., however, he wished that this ‘Toy Fair-2021’ will help establishing toy industries in other parts of the state as well. This fair is an important step towards India becoming self-reliant, he added.
Dushyant Chautala said that the State Government had recently signed MoUs with three well-known companies in the field of e-commerce ‘eBay’, ‘Power2SME’, ‘ Tradeindia.com’, which will benefit the artisans and entrepreneurs of the toy industry. Through these companies, their products will now be able to be purchased in any corner of the world; this will also increase the export of our country, he added. He said that the State Government’s primary focus is to promote entrepreneurship, to enhance inclusive and balanced regional development in the state. The reach of traditional artisans living in the remote parts of the state will no longer be limited, this will even give a boost to their sales in the international market and to their income as well, he added. He said that e-commerce has the potential to take MSMEs to new markets.
Additional Director, MSME Department, Shashi Kant said that in the last four days of ‘Toy Fair-2021’, more than 50 big toy-makers have visited the state’s online pavilion. Shashi Kant, who is constantly keeping an eye on this pavilion, responded to queries asked by these visitors and resolved their doubts.
He said that Haryana-Pavilion has attracted the attention of many stakeholders, domestic and foreign.
It is noteworthy that Prime Minister, Narendra Modi, inaugurated India’s first ‘Toy Fair-2021’ virtually on 27 February due to COVID-19. Around 1,000 toy-makers from 10 states displayed their own toys at this four-day fair.
