Haryana’s Energy, Transport and Labour Minister, Sh. Anil Vij, launched a sharp attack today on Congress leader Rahul Gandhi and the INDI alliance. He said that as voter verification is taking place in Bihar, some fake parties and fake leaders are protecting fake voters. He also emphasized the need for a national policy to ensure that essential vehicles are allowed to pass during protests and rallies, so that patients and others in need can receive timely treatment.

Sh. Vij was responding to a question asked media personnel regarding Rahul Gandhi’s statement that “we won’t allow the kind of rigging in Bihar that happened in Maharashtra.”

Sh. Vij said that these leaders complain after elections that fake voters should be removed from the lists — so they should actually support the verification process. “Why are they feeling discomfort now? They should be appreciating the government’s efforts,” he added.

Commenting on reports that Pappu Yadav and Kanhaiya Kumar were not allowed to board Rahul Gandhi’s van in Bihar, Sh. Vij took a jibe at the INDI alliance, “Though it’s their internal matter, it seems the INDI alliance doesn’t consider Pappu Yadav capable enough to sit with them, despite the fact that he was once their ally.”

On the incident in Bihar where RJD workers did not allow an ambulance to pass during a protest and even misbehaved with the patient’s family, Sh. Vij reiterated the urgent need for a national policy, “Whether it’s a protest or a rally, there must be a mandatory provision to let essential service vehicles pass.”
