National Highway from Bhiwani to Kaithal in Southern Haryana to be four-lane
Chandigarh, March 18– To ease the mobility on road, the National Highway from Bhiwani to Kaithal in Southern Haryana will be four-lane for the convenience of people.
This information was shared by Haryana Deputy Chief Minister, Dushyant Chautala today in response to a question asked by an MLA of the Vidhan Sabha on the last day of the Budget session.
The Deputy Chief Minister, who also holds the portfolio of Public Works Department, said that he had met the Union Road Transport and Highways Minister, Nitin Gadkari in New Delhi recently. During the meeting he urged him to ensure that the National Highway Authority takes charge of this work and develop it into a four-lane highway. He hoped that the Central Government will accept the said proposal and the work will begin soon.
He further said that instructions have been given to make an estimate and then expedite the work to fix the broken road near village Amreri of Jind assembly constituency located on Kaithal Road and of village Shahpur in Uchana Assembly constituency.
Dushyant Chautala, in response to a question regarding roads asked by another MLA, said that the work of repair and widening of roads in the rural area of Radaur Assembly constituency will be done under the Pradhan Mantri Gramin Sadak Yojana. He said that under this Scheme, the proposal for construction, strengthening and widening of a road, spread on a stretch of 600-km, has been approved in the third phase by the Central Government. Under this, the roads of the said Assembly Constituency will be strengthened.
