Haryana Irrigation and Water Resources Minister, Smt. Shruti Choudhry, said that to provide a permanent solution to the problems of flooding and waterlogging in all villages of the Meham Assembly constituency, the State Government has prepared 44 schemes at a total estimated cost of Rs.112.56 crore. These schemes will be implemented in a phased manner.
The Minister was responding to a question raised by a member during the Budget Session of the Haryana Vidhan Sabha here today.
She said that in the first phase, 10 schemes costing Rs. 30.16 crore were approved along with the necessary budget provision in the 57th meeting of HSDR and FCB held on December 31, 2025. The tendering process for these projects is currently underway.
She said that upon completion of these projects, thousands of acres of land and several villages will get relief from the problem of waterlogging.
