There will be no shortage of teachers in colleges – Education Minister
Chandigarh, April 20 – Haryana Education Minister, Sh. Kanwar Pal said that to ensure that there is no shortage of professors in colleges, Haryana Public Service Commission has been asked to fill 1922 posts of Assistant Professors in the first phase. Thus, the process for the same will start soon. In the second phase, 2,000 Assistant Professors will be recruited.
Sh. Kanwar Pal gave this information to mediapersons after a meeting with the senior officers of the Higher Education Department.
He said that out of 68 new college buildings opened in the state, the construction work of 24 colleges has been completed and construction work is going on for the building of 24 colleges which will be completed soon. He said that land was not available for the construction of new buildings of 22 colleges for which the process is still on. For the land of the colleges, the department will hold a meeting with the Director Panchayat and the Deputy Commissioner of the concerned district so that the land issue can be resolved soon.
The Education Minister said that a meeting will be held once in every 15 days with regard to the new education policy. In the meeting, constructive talks were held with the Association of Government Colleges of Haryana, Extension Lecturers and Association of Aided Colleges on many issues. He said that the infrastructure of colleges and libraries in the districts would be strengthened.
Additional Chief Secretary, Higher Education Department Sh. Anand Mohan Sharan and Director General Sh. Rajiv Rattan and other officers of the department were present in the meeting on this occasion.
