Haryana’s Energy, Transport and Labour Minister, Sh. Anil Vij said that Prime Minister Sh. Narendra Modi’s tenure is a golden period and that India is currently experiencing this golden era. He said that the global standing and respect that India enjoys today under Prime Minister Modi’s leadership is unprecedented. No previous Prime Minister had achieved this level of global recognition and honor. Sh. Vij emphasized that under Modi’s leadership, India is progressing steadily on the path of development.
Sh. Vij made these remarks in response to media questions regarding Prime Minister Modi completing 4,078 days in office. Notably, Modi has now surpassed Indira Gandhi’s tenure and has become the second-longest serving Prime Minister in India’s history.
Prime Minister Narendra Modi’s vision is to make India a developed nation by 2047 – Vij
Sh. Vij stated that Modi’s goal is to make India a developed country by 2047 because nations that gained independence after India have already become developed and are enjoying all the basic amenities. Thus, PM Modi has set this objective and work towards it has already begun. In line with this vision, Article 370 was abrogated – a blemish on India’s forehead. Hindus in India were previously unable to build their own temple, but under Modi’s leadership, the Ram Temple is now being constructed. Additionally, the Triple Talaq law, which created hardships for Muslim women, has been abolished, liberating them from this practice. Therefore, it is evident that the present era is indeed a golden one.
Former PM Indira Gandhi’s tenure was the most unfortunate; it brought a blot upon the Constitution – Vij
Sh. Vij criticized the opposition party Congress, saying that Indira Gandhi’s tenure was the most unfortunate in India’s history, as the Constitution was trampled upon during her rule. He said Congress leaders today carry the Constitution in their hands, but it was Indira Gandhi who violated it. About 1.5 lakh people were imprisoned, freedom of speech was curtailed, fundamental rights were suspended and censorship was imposed on the press.
Opposition parties want to divide the country by caste– Vij
Responding to Telangana CM Revanth Reddy’s remarks that “Modi is not OBC by birth but legally OBC,” and that “the Congress and Gandhi family sacrificed for the nation,” Sh. Vij said that opposition parties aim to divide the country based on caste, whereas the BJP brings everyone together and never engages in religious politics.
Sh. Dhankhar resigned citing health reasons and personal judgment; opposition should accept this – Vij
Regarding the resignation of Vice President Jagdeep Dhankhar and opposition remarks that the resignation should have been more dignified, Sh. Vij said Dhankhar resigned due to health reasons and personal discretion. The opposition should respect this and do not make-mean every issue unnecessarily.
