Raja Amrinder Singh Govt has failed to deliver justice to the victims of illicit liquor mafia: Kultar Singh
Liquor mafia flourishing under the patronage of ruling government: AAP
Tarn Taran, 20 August 2020
Aam Aadmi Party volunteers led by Kultar Singh MLA from Kotkapura staged a dharna outside the office of SSP, Tarn Taran in protest against in action by police in illicit liquor case. Speaking on the occasion AAP Legislator Kultar Singh said that a recent death of Dilbagh Singh in village Pandori Gola where already 10 persons had died after consuming spurious liquor has exposed the double standards of Raja Amarinder Singh as in a recent past he had stated that murder case will be registered against the people involved in the trade of illicit liquor whereas as stated by the family members of deceased Dilbagh Singh the main culprit has still not been arrested by the police.
Kultar Singh said that the present government is functioning on the whims and fancies of the mafia whether it is liquor mafia, sand mafia or drug mafia with a sole aim of filling its own coffers at the cost of precious lives of the public. Raising a question over the working of Raja Amarinder Singh, the AAP legislator said that Raja had made a symbolic appearance before the people of Tarn Taran after being forced by the protests of Aam Aadmi Party. Had the Chief Minister been so serious about the lives of the common public, he should have given clear cut instructions to the police for acting against the culprits of these mass murders and monitored the whole situation himself. Kultar Singh demanded that the Congress leaders patronizing liquor mafia and the culprits be booked under murder case until then AAP would its protest.
He was accompanied by senior AAP leaders Manjinder Singh Lalpura, Jasbir Singh Sur Singh, Ranjit Singh Cheema, Gurdev Singh Lakhna, Dr. Kashmir Singh Sohal, Laljit Singh Bhullar, Harjit Singh Sandhu, Dalbir Singh Tong, Harbhajan Singh ETO, Harjit Singh Baba Bakala, Baljit Singh Khehra, Palwinder Singh Khalsa, Lakhwinder Singh Fauji, Kewal Singh, Avtar Singh Matharu along with party volunteers.
