Chandigarh, 7 February 2026

Haryana’s Social Justice and Empowerment Minister Sh. Krishan Kumar Bedi said rural schools are playing an important role in the field of education. These schools are not only imparting education but also inculcating values, character building and love for the motherland. Rural schools are emerging today as a strong foundation of nation-building.

The Minister was addressing a gathering as the Chief Guest at a private school in village Hatho of Jind district today. He said that education should not be limited only to bookish knowledge; rather, sports, arts, culture and moral education are equally important for the overall development of students. The State and Central Governments are running various programmes based on Indian culture, Indian ideology and national pride. Our culture is working to spread the teachings of saints and great personalities among the masses so that the younger generation remains connected to its glorious history and cultural values.

The Minister said that during the “Pariksha Pe Charcha” programme, Prime Minister Sh. Narendra Modi had urged students not to be afraid of exams and to treat them like a festival. Encouraging students, he said that education is the most powerful means to progress in life. If students set their goals and work hard, success will certainly follow them.
