Chandigarh, June 23: The Haryana Right to Service Commission (HRTSC) has issued notices to Estate Officers of Gurugram 1, II, Panchkula, and Faridabad to appear and produce documents before the Commission pertaining to cases of failure to deliver timely services.

Giving further information, Secretary to the Commission Ms. Meenaxee Raj said that Chief Commissioner, HRTSC, Sh. TC Gupta has passed orders for issuance of these notices to four officers of three districts in exercise of powers as Civil Court under Section 17 of the Haryana Right to Service Act 2014 to appear in front of the Commission on July 8 and 9, 2021 in person or through video conferencing.

It is noteworthy that the HRTSC has been conferred powers under the Haryana Right to Service Act 2014 to initiate Suo-Moto inquiries against government departments that fail to deliver services falling under the ambit of the Commission and the Commission enjoys the powers of Civil Court.
