Today visited the house of Flying Sikh Late S. Milkha Singh ji and Smt Nirmal Kaur along with my wife Priya S Tandon, Sh Ravikant Sharma Mayor Chandigarh, Senior Deputy Mayor Sh Maheshinder Sidhu, Chandigarh Bjp State General Secretaries Sh Ramvir Bhatti & Sh Chander Shekhar and paid tributes to the departed souls. Met his son Sh Jeev Milkha Singh his wife Smt Kudrat and daughters Mona & Sonia and handed over him the condolence letter on behalf of Chandigarh Bjp.
The family fondly remembered the phone call made by Hon’ble Prime Minister Sh Narender Modi Ji during the ailment of Sh Milkha Singh and also conveyed their gratitude for the kind words spoken by Prime Minister during the Mann Ki Baat programme aired on 27th June 2021. Jeev Milkha Singh also showed the old memorable photographs of Sh Milkha Singh with dignitaries of early 60’s & 70’s. They also shared the memories of Sh Milkha Singh ji with Sh Balramji Dass Tandon former Governor Chattisgarh. The Bjp delegation conveyed their condolences too.
