He comes to the chowk to share the city’s joys and sorrows with his Tea-Point group members and also reads newspapers. He explained that his visits to Sadar Chowk in Ambala Cantonment began because it is the city’s main chowk, where all the newspapers arrive in the morning. He started coming here to read the papers, and from there, the tradition evolved into what is now his Tea-Point. Initially, everyone would read newspapers together, drink tea, and the sitting tradition has continued since then.
Minister Anil Vij emphasized that sitting together to drink tea and talk is essential for a good and healthy society. In the past, people used to gather in alleys and under trees, but stopping that has weakened the social fabric.

Notably, Minister Anil Vij starts his daily routine every morning by drinking tea with his Tea-Point group members at Sadar Bazaar Chowk.
